It was a real pleasure sitting down with Taylor Sparks from the university of Utag at E-MRS in our first episode of materials minutes. Discussions with Taylor Spark included how the Materials Zone machine learning and platform would play a massive part in materials science and how super-hard implementing materials informatics strategies actually is without solid and structured data.
The EMRS event is organized in conjunction with the International Conference on Advanced Materials (ICAM) with the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS).
It is the place to be for a materials scientist and labs to learn about AI platforms like ourselves.
The technical program includes topics like materials for energy, a hot subject right now converting solar energy either to electricity or to chemical fuels.
Other industry topics included that could benefit from materials informatics are; nano-functional materials, bio and soft materials, electronics and photonics modelling and of course characterization.
