A flight to Copenhagen and we found ourselves demonstrating our platform at the Comwell conference centre for MNE. Bella Center Copenhagen has partnered with Comwell to open Denmark’s biggest conference centre to host the 44th MNE conference. Originated from Cambridge in 1975, the conference unites materials engineers and scientists from around the world to talk about recent progress and future trends within fabrication and the application of micro and nanostructures in devices. Applications in electronics, electromechanics, life sciences and biology, photonics, environment, were also discussed.
Armed with a new quadcopter RC Drone, Nikon D3500 camera and Canon DM-E1 directional microphone, we were good to go with our next episode of Materials minutes… talking about bridging the gap between devices and materials.
The idea is that every month or even every fortnight we look to interview key thought leaders in the world of informatics and AI in material science. The topics to be covered include; 1) Fabrication and Integration of Structures Devices and Systems 2) Fabrication Methods and processes 3) Physical and Chemical Applications.
At MNE we were fortunate enough to sit down with Professor Alexandra Boltasseva from Purdue university and Dr. Kirsten Moslund from IBMResearch to hear how their careers are being transformed by materials science.
